WHAT IS A MACARON? IS IT THE SAME AS A MACAROON?

A macaroon (mak-a-rUn) is made of grated coconut, and has a dense texture. We like to describe them as coconut stacks. A macaron (mak-a-rOhn), on the other hand, is an almond flour-based treat, with two shells and a filling in the middle. It has a delicate, eggshell-like crust with a chewy meringue inner texture. Wild Almond Baking Co. specializes in the latter.


HOW CAN I ORDER FROM YOU?

Check out our Contact Us page to place your order request. Once you send us your request, we will reply via email for payment and pickup.


WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?

We accept Venmo and PayPal only.


HOW FAR IN ADVANCE DO I NEED TO PLACE MY ORDER?

We ask that you submit your request at least 1 week before your pickup date. We cannot guarantee that we can accept any orders placed less than one week prior to pickup, and we do charge a $10 rush fee for those. Due to the very involved process of macaron-making, we cannot accept order requests for less than three days prior to pickup date. For larger orders (6+ dozen), we ask that you place them at least 3 weeks prior to your pickup date. 


WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY?

We understand that plans can change, and we are glad to assist you in making changes to your order date whenever feasible and within reason. We allow cancellations up until and no later than 10 days prior to your PICKUP DATE in order to get a refund. There are absolutely NO cancellations, and therefore NO refunds less than 10 days from your PICKUP DATE.


HOW DO I STORE MY MACARONS?

Macarons can be stored in the fridge for 2 days at most. Take them out 30 minutes prior to serving to allow them to come to room temperature. They can be stored in the freezer for up to 2 weeks and defrosted for an hour at room temperature prior to enjoying.


CAN I PLACE AN ORDER WITH YOU TONIGHT AND GET THEM BY TOMORROW?

Unfortunately not. The macaron-making process is quite intricate and involved. We are two mamas who have families and children, so we do have to plan our schedules accordingly when we bake. The earliest we can accept orders is three days prior to pickup, and we do charge a rush fee of $10  for orders placed less than one week in advance.


CAN YOU SHIP YOUR MACARONS?

We could, but the cost of shipping is not conducive to our business practices and we cannot guarantee that the macarons would be able to stay intact in transit. So, in short, no, we don’t.


DO I GET A DISCOUNT FOR ORDERING LARGE QUANTITIES?

HOW MANY FLAVORS CAN I GET IN A DOZEN?

We currently offer one flavor and color per dozen. 


WHY CAN'T YOU GIVE ME 12 FLAVORS IN A DOZEN, ETC?

The macaron-making process is very involved and it isn’t possible to make just one macaron at a time. If we try to break apart batches to create singular macarons, the proportions are off. We do offer variety boxes from time to time. Follow us on our Facebook and on our Instagram for the latest updates!

DO YOU REQUIRE A DEPOSIT?

For regular orders of less than 6 dozen, no. We only require payment within 24 hours of confirmation. For large orders over 6 dozen, we do require a 50% deposit within 24 hours of confirmation.


DO YOU DELIVER?

For small orders, we do not. We will work with you to arrange a mutually-convenient pickup time. For orders of 10+ dozen, however, we do deliver within 25 miles of Dana Point.


ARE YOUR MACARONS GLUTEN-FREE?

Yes, most are except for ones with graham crackers and/or chocolate sandwich cookies.
